Johan is a Copenhagen-based founder who created Hoardo, a simple storage tracker for people who are tired of rummaging through boxes to find that one thing they need. Born from the chaos of parenthood, Hoardo turns your storage room into something you can actually navigate, without the shouting.
What problem does your product solve, and who is it for?
People like me, a tired dad with too much stuff and zero memory, keep losing track of what’s in our storage rooms.
Hoardo fixes that by letting you dump all your stuff into boxes, name them, and search for items later.
It’s for anyone who’s ever screamed “WHERE THE HELL IS THE TENT?!” right before a weekend trip.

What inspired you to start this? What’s your personal backstory?
Honestly? I became a dad.
One day, I was building landing pages. The next I was knee-deep in baby gear, tools, Christmas decorations, and mystery cables from 2012. Suddenly, knowing where stuff was became more exciting than launching a startup.
I got tired of playing Memory Tetris in our storage room. So I built Hoardo, a dead simple way to dump everything into boxes, track it all, and stop asking “where the hell did I put that!?” every weekend.
It started as a way to stay sane. Now it’s a product I’d never want to live without.
What’s your current traction?
170 beta users. It’s free for now.
What’s one decision or moment that changed everything for your startup?
Buying the domain.
